Penile Widening Surgery
This is perhaps the commonest of the Man Plasties requested and performed. There are many options to augment the girth of the penis. They are:
1) Fat Injection – is the most commonly used technique to increase the width of penis. Fat in liquid form is aspirated from the lower tummy or the thigh region, processed and injected deep into the skin covering the penis. This can be done under local anesthesia with sedation in majority and can be completed as a day case. The surgery needs very little bed time and results are very encouraging. Of the injected fat, 30 – 40% of fat gets absorbed and hence may have to be repeated more than once till satisfactory results are obtained. Since there are no unnatural products being used, the chances of reactions and other untoward incidences are very low.
2) Dermofat graft – Fat and a portion of skin is removed from the lower part of the tummy and is inserted under the skin of the penis. This is more of a permanent technique. A predictable girth increase is achieved and it is a safe and effective surgery as no unnatural substances are used here.
3) Silicone implants – can be inserted under the skin of the penis. The advantage here is that only the penis is anesthetized and operated on. But there are higher chances of pain, rejection, infection and spontaneous extrusion in the long run as we insert artificial material into the body
Testicular implant
