Does face lift produce scars?

Scars in facelift surgery are placed in areas that are very inconspicuous. Facelift scar will be covered by one’s hair in almost all cases.

What is Augmentation Mammaplasty?

Augmentation Mammaplasty is a procedure that is used to surgically increase the size of a small breast. Different techniques are used and the implant may be introduced through three different incisions: under the breast, around the nipple, or in the axilla (armpit).

Does breast surgery affect breastfeeding later in life?

It depends on what type of breast surgery one underwent. It happens when the incisions are around the nipple and have implant placement above the muscle. Below the muscle implants and incisions under the breast help to breastfeed children later in life and has the lowest chance of loss of nipple sensation. Extensive surgeries like breast reduction do affect breastfeeding and nipple sensations in a minority of patients.

How long should one wait before undergoing breast reduction after breast feeding?

It is recommended a waiting period of several months after one has finished breastfeeding, a minimum of three months after breastfeeding should be enough.

What is breast reduction, why is it done, does that produce scars?

Breast reduction is done to make large breasts smaller. The patients present with neck, shoulder, back pain, paresthesia of the arms and bra strap grooving of the shoulders. The technique of breast reduction requires lengthy incisions; which are placed in inconspicuous areas such as the fold underneath the breast.

How long one should wait before tummy tuck surgery after child birth?

It’s recommended to wait for one year (12 months) after childbirth before having tummy tuck surgery.

Does fat accumulation recur after Liposuction?
